I’m back!

hey all!! I am back in SA, and loving ministry. God is already stretching me and taking me to the places I have never been excited about going!

This week at the Joshua Project, things have been kind of crazy. Monday we planned for next week, and the rest of the semester, and the other days we have been venturing with the kids to the beach and just getting to know them again.

There is a kid who came on wednesday, named Molay, who stole my heart. He is an 8 year old boy who lives with his single mom and older sister. He wants to be in the army when he grows up, and as we were talking the reason why came out. he told me that he wanted to learn to throw bombs so he could find the people who hurt his mom and sister and throw them in their houses.

Molay also sneaks to the Joshua project. His family does not want him to come and get “free handouts for the poor.” it saddens my heart to see this, as the joshua project is not giving anyting away during the after school program other than a snack during activities. As I was carying him home from the beach, his siter found us, and started yelling at him. Yet, he still ventures to come.

It makes me pray his desire, as well as mine, for christ will be the same way. I want us to yearn to be with Christ so much that we keep daring to come back. Even though we will get ridiculed from all sides, we should strive to be with him, we should sneak away from the chaos and find him and jsut soak in being with him.
