On tuesday, we had an awesome project to work on! we decorated out activity room in gold, and wrote words that had to do with the kingdom on the walls. To top it off, we made a throne and septor!! when the kiuds came, we dressed on of them up as a king, and marched them around the town. We gave others drums and trumpets, adn they pretended they were announcing the comming king. afterwards, we talked about hoe God was the king of all the land, and they were daughters and sons of the king, making them princes and princess’.

while walking around the town, I joked with Boogani (the child dressed as the king) that maybe I could trade places with him. I would sit in the throne and he could carry me around. I thought the idea was really funny, becasue Boogani is quite small, and I imagined him trying t hold up a corner of the throne. i chuckled to myself asI imagined him doing so. Then, i thought about how ridiculous it would be to make God carry a corner of the throne (not because he couldn’t do it), and me to sit ontop. I know it’s silly, yet, so many times, i put myself in the trone, thinking I can do it by myself, and I stick God carrying a pole. I want to be announced with trumpets rather than simply be a servant who carries him, and finds pleasrue in bringing him into the land. It’s not about me, adn any attention I have been craving this week in exceptable, as my joy should be in christ alone, and him being seen.
