I’m Here!!

I’m here!!!!

jeffery’s Bay is so amazing, and I am so glad that I am finally here!! 4 weeks of georgia, Pretoria, and Swazi was exhasting, but it was good as well!! I learned so much about Who I am, and what my gifts are while I was there!!

You will be pleased to know that Training camp was toned down from previous years, so it was actually enjoyable!! it was good to get to know all ym team mates (they are amazing) and some of my leaders 9again, amazing!)

Jeffery’s Bay is so beautiful!! You can see the ocean from our window, and the trees and plants and definitly not like Colorado!! But there is so much need here as well! If you are sitting in a squatter camp, you can see the richer part of town, the part that has money, and big churches. the part of toen where we are fortunate enoguh to live in a nice house. but where you sit holds so much pain. So much oppression. it hurts me!

i am looking into working with Joshua project in a township clled Persulls (I think that’s how you spell it…) This program works with at-risk street children. i can’t wait!! there are already programs open, and some nights where you can plan soemthing totally new. I am so excited to love these kids like they have never been loved before.

that’s all I have so far for Jeffery’s bay. I have only been here a few days, but with internet acess more readily available, I will be able to update more often, so look forward to more (and slighlty… okay, maybe a LOT more intersting) updates soon!
