choosing to Rejoice

I love thos days when you wake up, something get
s you thinking about how Great God is, and you can’t stop thinking about it all day. Today has been one of those days. half way through my first class, I recived a text that said  ” woke up and saw what a beautiful day it was and was reminded of Psalm 118:24 God is good!” it imediatly got me thinking. “this is the day that the Lord has made, rejoce ad be glad in it.” How often do I forget to rejoce simply because of the blue sky or the beautiful creation around us. If God had not made the world in color, we would still be happy, we would have never known the beauty we were missing. But God wanted us to have that beauty.

i love going to this little park near Estes, sitting by the river and taking in all of God’s creation. When I am here, it seems as if i can be still, I can connect with God in a deeper way than in every day life. but why is it that I don’t do this on a more regular basis? I do not mean simply going to Estes, but rather just praising God for how good he truley is. He blesses us in ways we do not even understand, and I do not  thank him enough for it. He not only gives us the beauty of creation, he blesses us with undeserved relationships, awesome oopportunities, and, a chance to KNOW him. we have a chance to be best friends with the creator of everything, the all-knowing, most powerful God. Even just hat opprtunity would be sufficiant, yet, he gives us even more. So each day, I will strive to wake up and rejoice, be glad, in the day that he has made, and be amazed that he has b;lessed us with another great day in this life we live for him.

Often times, it is so hard to rejoice when times are hard, but even in the pain, his love is more than enough, so even on the broken road, I will choose to be glad in him, and to rejoice.
