a little about what I do every day…

Hello all!! I hope youa re all doing well!!

I’m doing really well, and I am starting t fall more and more in love with J-bay! We started our internships this last week, and I couldn’t be happier with where God placed me! I am working at the Joshua project monday-thursday and I am slo helping at a Cresch (those are kind of like day-cares), on thursday mornings. I am in love witht he kids at Josua Project! They are at-risk kids, and so they need a LOT of attention! But the results are worth the tiring things that come with the experience!

The guy that leads the Joshua project is a man byt the name of Japp (prounanced yawp), He is amazing!!! My heart desires to be more like him! He is a dutch man who moved here and has been working at JP for 7 years!! he’s in his 30’s, and he has such a passion for these kids that you can’t help but to be passionate about them when he is around. Everyday, Japp heads into town and picks up kids who come to the project. It is so overwhelming to see these tough kids, comming form very strong lifestyles break the barriers they put around their heart to run into Japps arms and jsut be held. This is what I desire. I desire to show the kids at JP, as well as all the people I meet in life, that kind of love. the kind of love that breaks down barriers and lets people just be themself in my arms. I long to be someone that is safe to be with, but someone who isn’t afraid to tell them that they are not amounting to the person they can be. It’s funny that when Japp disiplines the kids, they almost know that it is because he cares for them. it’s a huge testomony to them, and to me! what a great way to demetrate the Love of Christ!

Keep praying as the team begins to dive into all our different ministries.. we are being stretched and pushed in ways that we didn’t expect, but God knew was the best all along. Today is a day off, so we can all rest, but tomorow comes more ministry!
